RALKIN GOES MAD

 

   Earlier in the week a Ralken went wild in a local tavern.  In an attack on the King Simbaka Rafikin the Ralken was stopped by one Cedric, a Lion new to these parts.  The King left the palace unescorted in his arwing in reported from various nameless sources against the wishes and advice of his royal council time and time again.  One source quotes the Great Royal Knight as insisting the King be more careful and not fling himself into the fray.  After recent events our sources say that the Royal Knight’s concern for the king has been growing these past many months.  Cedric the Lion showed great strength and disregard for his own well being in his rescue of our king, and in this reporters mind he will soon be a prominent figure in public life.  Rumors have it Cedric has plans for social reform and wanting to change the ruling system as well as the religious concepts of the people.  In an independent poll the people seem to be split on the change in ruling system.  Many feel we should stay as we have for generations, the system has worked so far and this is as it was meant to be.  Others think change is good, the people need more representation in the palace weather it be a new form of legislature or an Ambassador of the people they are not sure.  As for losing the dependence on Aslan it seems to be a not liked concept among most.  The common thought is that Aslan is the tie that binds us together and keeps us strong, that we are his chosen people.  There are a few circles that believe that Aslan is nothing more then a guide to us and we must follow his example but not expect him to be active as he has already left.  One group believes that he has gone to other lands as we are set and can care for ourselves whilst another group believes Aslan is dead.  Then there is yet another group that says Aslan and no other god has ever existed as they are the Atheists.  Still there are smaller groups who believe in the Celestine Order and others who claim Catholicism, Judaism, Islamic, Wiccian, Hinduism, Buddhism, Shamanism, and other earth religions that have come on the rise recently throughout the galaxy.  Spokesmen say that since our ancestors came from earth it is only natural.  What ever the case may be it is in this reporters opinion that the people can not decide as of yet.  As for the Ralken he has been detained in the Mordovian Memorial Mental Hospital and under evaluation as evidence shows he may be imbalance and may need help.  As soon as his evaluation is completed a statement will be issued.  The Ralken government has yet to comment.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

CITIZENS FOR DECENCY ON THE WAR PATH

 

   The CFD are in an uproar as rumors of the old house on 13th street will be turned into a brothel.  A Human known as Ru, no last name known, has bought the property and has been making renovations this past month when a rumor slipped out what her plans with the old estate are.  Ru came to this part of the galaxy looking for her old friend Nuchtchas and found her on SB23.  Shortly after she was involved in an altercation on SB23 and was soon charged with attempted murder of a one Gredin Ashcroft.  Mr. Ashcroft would have died had not a Douwd intervened and saved his life, a one Melanie.  She was held in custody of the PLE until the matter could be resolved.  It was later discovered the young female was infected just as Queen Lee Sona Rafikin was with a bug from Setti Alpha 5 and had been under mind control most of her life.  The Queen helped her with surgery to rid herself of the bug.  Not long after her brainwasher came to kill her, she was luckily saved by captain Jack Carter, Princess Shani and the kings cousin Nulan.  It is not clear if this man was killed or not but his presence has not been seen since.  Ru was then cleared of all charges.  Ru is a known hooker and had been working independently since she had arrived.  Her lure is hard to resist as the guards who held her captive learned all to well.  Rumors of her involvement with the MU Aresene Lupin have not been confirmed nor denied but as she has been not too discreetly been hiring males and females for her new business it is likely this rumor is false. Ru also was a target for the Serial Killer MU Nuchtchas, though this attack was foiled and she was saved.  Spokesperson for the CFD quoted as saying, “That trashy human has no right exploiting our people in this way and has no right to bring more trashy off worlders here for such filth.  She is not one of Aslan’s people, she is not Animaliod, I do not know how the Monarchy or guard can allow this affront to Aslan.”  Also commented by the CFD Spokesperson, “She is also a wiccian, we have evidence that she has been making spells and potions and we say enough is enough, she has no right to be practicing witchcraft on us.  Besides she has no animal in her, how can we allow this?  This is the problem with the kingdom the off worlders are corrupting us.”

    Not only does the CFD oppose the projected new Brothel but they still oppose the establishment known as Tawny Paws owned and run by a Miss Dawn.  Spokesperson insists, “Tawny Paws is nothing but a den of filth meant to lead the people astray and corrupt this kingdom this sort of entertainment should also be outlawed and this Dawn female thrown in jail for her crimes against the youth of Pridelandia and the decent citizens.”  When asked if free will ever made it into the equation the CFD made no comment.

    Unfortunately we were not able to get a hold of Miss Dawn for comment though we invite her to make a statement for next weeks paper in response.  I am sure she has much to say on this.  We did however get a statement out of Miss Ru.  Through her laughter Ru commented, “This is rich, I am attacked for not being Animaliod, though if anyone cares I do have feline DNA though we are not sure how this came to be as my brother Frank has none.  This is very disturbing to me but I am learning to manage it.  Then I am attacked for my faith, yes I am consider myself a witch but I follow the reed of ‘Harm none; do what ye will’ and would never try to cast anything on anyone without their permission.  My faith is more Pridelandian then those Aslan fundies know.  I respect nature and only wish to live in harmony with it.  I am called filth for the service I provide, but my services are asked for and needed.  It is just a physical act nothing more and I force it on no one it is provide upon request.  No one is exploited, none of my ladies or boys are forced with anyone they all have the choice to accept a client or not.  As I have never been with anyone I did not knowingly accept.  To force either party would be nothing less then rape and I abhor that to no end.  My past may not be considered the nicest but I am cured and will harm none.  I regret the things I have done while under the influence of that bug and have made attempts to right the wrongs.  So far most victims families and surviving victims have forgiven me.  I will not lie I am still banned from Risa but with a planet like this who needs Risa.  If you do not like my service do not come, but do not complain to me if you can not keep you men and women happy and they come to me for solace.  As for being one of Aslan’s people I do not know much about the religion of my Pride Pals, oh this is what I call you all, meant as a pet name I assure you.  Still I do not mean any disrespect but any religion that the King and Queen follow I doubt can be so harsh as to not accept others.  I have seen nothing but kindness and acceptance from them and up until now I have felt quite welcome in this kingdom.  In regards to my personal life and who I may be with or not is none of your business as it is none of your business in regards to my religion or sexual preference or anything else.  I do not like anyone trying to show my friends in a poor light so I say this, keep Aresene or any others out of this, if you have a problem come to me about it.”  Ru was passionate in her statement and seemed angered by the CFD’s attitude, she added this, “I want to say to you ignorant fundies that get off your high horse you are guilty of just as many sins as you accuse, who made you holier then thou?  If you think you can keep people oppressed by such actions think again there is a reason this is the oldest profession.  As to Dawn, I do not think I know her well but I have been told about her and I have nothing but respect for her and say she is welcome anytime here, keep up the good work.”  The CFD has yet to make a reactionary statement.

 

 

 

 

PLE IN BLOOM

 

   Spring is on it’s way, well in a few months but the February flower the Flurnis has begun to bloom and the streets start to brighten from it’s purple trees that line the sidewalks.  The Isis Horticulture society says this years growth is the best in 10 years and will be having a special show Tuesday at 1100 hours in the Isis Arboretum, all are welcome.

 

 

 

 

SPORTS

 

   Hockey – The PLE team wins a great victory over the Bajorian team.  After a 6 to 0 win the team is in high spirits.  Team captain Opus: “A few more wins like this and we will make it high enough to play the all android team!  We can not wait to go head to head with Zavo’s team.”  The coach commented about not being ready for that yet but the inspired confidence is good for the players.  Our power has always been an asset but we have been working on our agility and improving if I must say.  In relation to the team one of the biggest public supports Nuchtchas is holding another raffle to raise funds for the PLE Athletic Department. She is raffling off her box tickets (she holds season box tickets and was the first to make such a purchase) for the next 1/2 season. All tickets can be bought through her office at HQ@nuchtchas.8m.com.

 

    Baseball – From a suggestion by Jack Carter a well valued friend of the PLE and former Captain of our Queen, the PLE is looking to form a baseball team.  Now there are but a few teams in the galaxy but we are hoping to join in.  All players, managers, supporters and coaches may contact via PLEtimes@mac.com

 

    Basketball -  PLE State won a victory over Orisis Tech this week a close 42 to 39 in double overtime.  Next week to play is North Star State vs. First Tree Academy.

    Darts – The Blue Ox will be hosting a darts competition to raise funds for the Females of Aslan Auxiliaries (A charity to help in various situations).  They hope to raise as much as their Billiards game last fall, then they raised a whopping 300 strips for the Red Leaf (much like the earth Red Cross).

 

 

 

 

 

 

Birthdays

 

   A small quiet celebration was thrown this past Friday for Princess Buttercup.  Buttercup a guest of the PLE who lives in the palace is a quiet rarely seen member of our society, a human who like many others has found a home her in the PLE and made this her home.  Buttercup is quiet and stays secluded most of the time as the reason for her unannounced party.  Among the Celebrants were Members of the Royal family and a few friends.  A special cake decorated in buttercups and the princess’s favorite candy was prepared by Le’Grenoville the Royal Chef.  An unveiling of a new Portrait to the Royal Public Gallery was made in her honor as a present from her friend Nuchtchas.  The Royal family presented her with a necklace holding a pendent with the Pridelandian emblem. (A leaf representative of the First Tree with a special design encrusted).  

 

 

 

 

Obituaries

 

   Missing Dungeon Guard Has been found.  Marcus Welby, a Jaruariod who had gone missing from the dungeons a few months ago just around the time a suspected appearance of the serial killer, MU Nuchtchas.  MU Nuchtchas is still at large though she has stayed away from the PLE and a strong bounty placed from the personal funds of the Royal Knight Nuchtchas.  Welby’s services are being held in the Royal Parlor the viewing hours are from 1100 hours to 1400 hours and from 1800 hours to 2000 hours.  His family asks in lee of floral arrangements donations to the Pridelandian Orphans Fund be sent.  Welby was adopted as a child of 1 year (approximately equals 7 earth years of age) by his parents.  Welby family quotes, “If it were not for the POF we would have never been blessed with such a treasure.  Though we have lost him in such a heinous way we thank Aslan for allowing us to love him for these short 12 years.”  The family is sad and have received a personal visit from both the Royal Knight as well as Commandant Royberson, the Warden of all Jails on the PLE.  Also CO Merc, Headmaster of the NSA, Acting Captain of the Guard Berton and Stalwarn head of the Pride Malitia to name a few.  The Funeral will be held outside the hall of honor and broadcasted nationwide as well as galacticly.  Welby will be placed in records as a national hero for giving his life in efforts to protect his kingdom.  We all morn his loss.

 

    Bernice Lanion entered mortality late last night after a stoke.  Landion was 71 and has suffered 2 strokes within the last 3 years.  Though longevity runs in the Landion family Bernice was a heavy smoker and had only one lung as the other was removed 17 years prior.  Services will be held at Kessler Parlor.  Floral arrangements are to be sent to her niece and nephew's home on Glasden Row.
